An exciting day for artists. If you have never experienced rocks at first hand, then this trip into a working quarry will be an amazing experience. The leader (Jill) is a geologist/painter and can show you the delights of rocks, sediments and fossils to open up a whole new world of patterns, textures and colours. The quarry will 'hide' a story of many millions of years ago. By letting the artists into the secret of interpreting rocks, a great insight will be given to the artist. Your artwork may never be the same again! Any media and for any level of experience. This day will be huge fun. Sunday 23rd August 2009, 10.30 am to 4.30 pm, £25Bedfordshire, the precise quarry is to be chosen nearer the date. Contact Jill if you are interested as places will be limited. If you can get a group of 6 artists then please request a date of your choice and this can be run at any time of year for your group. |
